BIO

Alexandra Kazantseva, born in 1994, is an artist whose work is deeply influenced by philosophical themes. Her paintings invite viewers to reflect on life’s big questions—love, kindness, family, and existence itself. Alexandra creates in oil and pastel, and her creative process is meditative, allowing her to escape all distractions. For her, the fewer thoughts that cloud the mind during the creation of a piece, the more satisfying the result becomes. She believes that art should bring joy not only to the artist but also to others, and seeing someone moved by her artwork makes her feel like the happiest person in the world.

Alexandra’s artistic journey has been shaped by her studies in design and painting, including courses taught by Natalia Zakharova of UrGAHA and interior design training from the St. Petersburg School of Design. Her passion for art has led her to participate in exhibitions across various countries, including China, where she showcased her work at "A Word About the Russian Heart" in Beijing, and in Moscow at her solo exhibition at the Varshavka Gallery. Among her many group exhibitions, one of the most significant was the "Element of Water" exhibition in St. Petersburg's Gostiny Dvor, organized by RA ART Gallery.

Her paintings are held in private collections in the USA, Germany, and other countries, and she is represented by galleries such as Artmejeur, Saatchiart, and Singulart. Alexandra’s work has been selected for curated collections by these galleries, further solidifying her international presence. She has also won several prestigious awards, including second place at the Mellow Art Award 2020 in Japan, Art Show International 2021 in the USA, and the Dali Mustache 2022 competition in Spain.
