BIO

Valeria Salnikova is a vibrant artist whose work reflects a unique fusion of modern aesthetics and bold experimentation. Born in Murmansk in 1986, she developed her artistic foundation in the northern coal town of Vorkuta, later earning a degree in graphic design from the Russian Social State University. Valeria's career in the creative industry saw her working as a designer for Harper's Bazaar and as an art director at Avon before she embraced her calling as a full-time artist. Her journey into the art world took off unexpectedly with exhibitions at the Carrousel du Louvre and the Pierre Cardin Pavilion in Paris, marking the start of her international exposure.

Valeria defines her style as "Picassism," a vivid reflection of her creative philosophy. Like Pablo Picasso, her works vary in mood and color, yet remain unified by a distinct personal style. With fearless color fragmentation and abstract forms, her art disrupts conventional norms, blending textures, shapes, and cultural interpretations. Predominantly using shades of pink, her work evokes a "pink prism" that aims to reshape perceptions, making the world feel "WOW" in all its manifestations.

Her compositions are deliberately flat, a stylistic choice influenced by her early training, with a focus on line and form. This approach creates a dynamic sense of movement and rhythm, celebrating authenticity and freedom. Her background in fashion has also contributed to her unique approach, incorporating non-traditional materials to convey messages about beauty beyond conventional standards. Her art embraces a mysterious and fragmented aesthetic, where lines and shapes take on a life of their own, free from societal constraints.
