BIO
Alina Shamanka, Emerging artist
Based in Russia, Born 1986
Alina Shamanka is a contemporary artist who goes by the pseudonym and openly expresses her unique perspective on the world. Born in the Altai region, she is intimately familiar with interacting with powerful energies and energetic places. She possesses an intuitive understanding of the world and is an empath who sees more than the human eye can perceive. Her art can be described as intuitive, with all images forming on a subtle plane and then being transferred to the canvas by her hand during deep meditative states. Alina strives to convey spiritual meaning through color and abstract forms, capturing it on the material canvas.
Alina Shamanka's work falls within the realms of abstraction and symbolism, and her pieces are held in private collections in Russia and Germany, which she enthusiastically refers to as "Paintings of Power." The concept of the triptych "Egregors" was conceived during an expedition to places of power, which took her through Kalmykia, the Altai Mountains, Okunevo village, and Arkaim. During her journey in the summer of 2022, she not only explored the landscapes but also conducted research on various religions, esoteric knowledge, and personally engaged with lamas, monks, shamans, storytellers, and others who possess a highly developed sense of intuition and understanding of the world.
Alina's commitment to sustainable consumption is reflected in her artwork created on recycled materials, prompting viewers to contemplate the world, the soul, and humanity's higher purpose.
As an artist, she employs an abstract style and often uses only 2-3 colors in her works. Her art delves into themes related to religion, esotericism, and symbolism.
Among the numerous group exhibitions she has participated in, two noteworthy ones include the "Exhibition Sochi Design Pro" in Sochi and the "Russian Artist Against War" exhibition at Artseeker Gallery in New York City.
