Alisa Diakova

Figurative artist

Born in 1988

Alisa explores spiritual values and faith in today’s world, expressing them through human figures, fleeting moments, and natural fragments. Her art invites viewers to pause, reconnect with their senses, and feel life’s true worth. A mother of many, she paints with soul and warmth, inspiring awareness and quiet joy.

Alisa Diakova is a contemporary painter whose practice explores states of inner stillness, spiritual orientation, and emotional presence within the rhythms of everyday life. Working across figurative painting and botanical imagery, Diakova constructs intimate visual narratives where domestic objects, floral forms, and fragments of the human figure become metaphors for contemplation, vulnerability, and quiet resilience.

Her work occupies a space between realism and symbolic representation. Through carefully structured compositions and a restrained yet expressive painterly language, Alisa transforms ordinary moments — a shared meal, a cup of tea, a blooming branch — into sites of reflection. These scenes function not as literal documentation, but as emotional landscapes, inviting viewers into moments of pause amid contemporary acceleration.

Born in 1988 in Ufa, Russia, Alisa received her formal education at the Bashkir State Pedagogical University, graduating in 2010 with a degree in Art and Graphic Design. Following her studies, she taught painting to both children and adults while developing her own studio practice. In 2018, she began an in-depth exploration of botanical art, marking a pivotal shift toward professional artistic activity and exhibition participation.

Since 2019, Diakova has been a member of the Association of Botanical Artists of Russia. While botanical subjects initially formed the foundation of her practice, her work has since expanded to encompass broader emotional and spiritual themes. Beginning in 2021, she introduced oil and charcoal as primary materials, allowing for greater textural depth and expressive nuance. By 2023, spirituality and inner awareness emerged as central conceptual threads in her work, guiding a transition toward more symbolic and contemplative compositions.

Alisa’s paintings are characterized by a refined attention to light, tactile surface, and chromatic harmony. Flowers appear not merely as decorative motifs but as living portraits, echoing human fragility and endurance. Domestic interiors, hands, and everyday rituals recur throughout her oeuvre, forming a visual language that bridges personal experience and universal emotion. Her work reflects an ongoing dialogue between nature and humanity, presence and impermanence.

Her exhibition history includes solo presentations at Central Gallery, Ufa, and participation in major group exhibitions such as Black and White at Gostiny Dvor, Moscow (2021), and Russian Artist Against War at Artseeker Gallery, New York. In 2022, Diakova received the award for Best Botanical Artwork at Kashirka Gallery, Moscow. In 2024, she participated in the Autumn Salon in Minsk, followed by her first solo exhibition in 2025 and participation in Affordable Art Fair New York Fall 2025.

Alisa’s works are held in private collections across Russia, the United States, Europe, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. Alongside her artistic practice, she is actively engaged in charitable initiatives, dedicating proceeds from selected works to support orphanages and infant care facilities.

Alisa Diakova currently lives and works between Russia and international exhibition platforms, continuing to develop large-scale floral and figurative series for presentation at global art fairs.
