In the world of art, where the boundaries between reality and imagination are blurred, my sculptural relief "Ascension" represents an immersion into the sensual and tactile. Using plaster as a medium, I explored the duality between the rigidity of the material and the gentleness of the form.
"Ascension" is not merely a physical depiction; it's a metaphor for spiritual elevation, freedom, and transformation. The plaster ribbons, akin to streams of air, rise upwards, inviting the viewer to feel a sense of lightness and exaltation. These dynamic shapes and their smooth curves create an illusion of movement and flow, beckoning the viewer to meditate and reflect. My aim was to craft a piece that evokes tactile sensations even from a distance.
Looking at "Ascension", one can feel the softness and enveloping effect of each of these forms, as if they were made not of plaster, but of something more delicate and airier.
