Dangina is a character from ancient Buryat/Mongolian folklore, a female sorceress. Among the Buryat people, women and girls have always held a special place: they are the bearers of folk wisdom, the keepers of the home hearth, and much of the well-being of the family and the entire clan depends on them. All the best qualities of the Buryat people are embodied in the character of Dangina.
