A close fragment of ocean water occupies the frame, its crest suspended at the moment before collapse. Light gathers along the edge of the wave, forming a thin, unstable line between mass and dispersion.

The composition eliminates horizon and sky, isolating the body of water as both subject and event. What appears fluid reveals structure: tension, compression, release.

Reflected light fractures across the surface, creating temporary constellations that dissolve as quickly as they emerge. The painting studies duration — how long a form can hold before it breaks.

Water here is not landscape. It is force contained within a shifting boundary.

The surface does not conceal depth.

It performs it.
