The front of a mid-century automobile rises from dry grass beneath an expansive sky. The low vantage point enlarges the vehicle’s presence, allowing chrome, headlight, and curvature to dominate the frame.

The polished surface becomes a field of reflection. Sky and ground fold into metal, compressing landscape into gloss. The car does not move; instead, it absorbs light.

The composition isolates detail — grille, rim, curvature — shifting the object from transport to sculptural form. Positioned against open land, the automobile reads as artifact rather than instrument.

The title suggests temporality. Light changes; surface remains. The machine stands between durability and ephemerality — holding the day briefly within its reflection.

Rather than narrating motion, the work examines surface memory.

What passes is the sky.

What persists is the form.
