The artwork was painted in a difficult and hard time for Russian artists, during the events after February 23, 2022. The artist was inspired by the portrait of a black woman.
The painting depicts an elderly Cuban who has not lost her sense of taste and style through the years. A woman who loves life. Her eyes and look tell us about a great life experience, some wisdom, sad and happy events, which she now recalls with a sincere cheerful smile. And the cigar in her hands kindles the fire of life that is still burning in her soul. The artist sees in this woman a kind of hint that all the events in our life are just "time" and it goes away forever. No matter whether it is “good” or “bad” time, because each person does not have so much of it and you need to appreciate and live every minute, so that later, in old age, you can remember every moment without regrets.
