Do you remember yourself as a child? Do you remember experiencing the feeling of delight? Do you remember how it was? Sincere, impulsive, filled with lots of feelings. The child’s delight is sudden, and sometimes the reasons for such delight are not clear to us adults.
As kids, we consist of delight. For us the World and everything in it is new, fresh, surprising and unknown. Every day is special. Every day promises an adventure. And we feel like creators. It is the best feeling ever!
Alas, as we grow older, we lose the ability to admire everything. Phenomena, events and objects become just a background for things that seem important to us, and moments seem discolored.
The girl and the sense of delight are the characters of my painting. The way she is feeling delight is direct and full of simple sincerity. It tells us that the girl is still able to admire. She is a child, open and ready for a miracle, who is completely devoted to the magic of the moment.
Figurative painting.
In the process of working on this painting I used a palette knife and a special spatula. With this tool, you can gently apply paints with smooth stroke or mix paints right on a canvas, and give them an absolutely incredible texture.
